Anyway, this weekend was awesome. On Friday we went went to a party at Khalid and Meshari’s place. Al and Bayat were there, and Soorah and her new boyfriend Figgy. Except Figgy was shit faced when we got there and he was passed out on the couch, and Soorah ended up passing out with him. And Mansour got wasted and ended up throwing up for half the night, but at least he’s okay. Aside from him freaking me out because of how drunk he was, it was actually hilarious some of the shit he did while he was drunk. Too bad I can’t write it on here. On Saturday we spent the day out and it was the best. We didn’t even really do anything. I mean, we ate lunch at McDonald’s and then walked around downtown New Haven but we didn’t actually DO anything. But it was so much fun. And then when we left we went for a drive, and then came back and had dinner and talked until 3 in the morning. And on Sunday I went to the city to see a ballet with my mom, which was awesome. It was like an old black and white movie. Anyway, after I got back Mansour and I went to the beach to eat ice cream and it started pouring. But it was fun. And we read some more. And then yesterday we hung out at Al’s and then when we came home we spent the whole night talking. Basically this weekend was so amazing, just spending time with Mansour. He’s not just my boyfriend, but he’s one of my best friends too. Someone I can tell anything to, someone who’s always there to listen and give me advice, someone who I can just have fun with and do the stupid things that friends do together…except with sexy benefits :P
moving right along
I had a really great day with my mom yesterday. I went to the office with her in the morning and worked at the front desk, and then we went and got lunch at PF Chang’s. We talked about a lot and I found out some stuff about her that I didn’t know before. Anyway then we went to the Trash Museum for an assignment that I had for school, and it was actually a lot of fun and we learned a lot. Who knew garbage could be so interesting! Anyway, now all that’s left for my environmental class is my final, which I think I’m taking next week.
Once I got back Minh took me out to dinner for helping him with our history final and we went to this all you can eat sushi bar by the beach. It was a lot of fun. Basically, all in all, yesterday was great. And I got an email saying that I made the Dean’s List. Super fucking happy about that :) And I wrote a few more vignettes for Sarah Lawrence, and on Sunday my mom and I are going to NYC to see a ballet. Looking forward to it.
